Yoonhi is a coming-of-age story set in the late 90s about 6 Generation-X college kids - reading Arts in the second year in Chandigarh. The events take place over the course of a year, in a defining period (1998-99) in the life of India and the protagonist - Jammu - a quota student with a difficult past shaped by the uncertain political climate of the Kashmir valley. Now living with his uncle and aunt, he has a new set of friends in college and a promising cricketing career ahead. Despite this, a part of him still yearns for a syncretic Kashmir, something that is in further danger because of the Kargil War.
