Cape of Last Hope is an international story based in India, South Africa, Russia, Nigeria, Singapore, and the Netherlands, set against the backdrop of the oil and aviation industries. The result of a pre-term general election in India depends on the price of petroleum. Only two air tycoons can help the incumbent government — it gets dark and murky like black gold. It is a complex and entertaining political thriller about oil-dependency and energy told at breakneck speed.

This is an adapted screenplay partially based on the book The Lobbyists: Untold Story of Oil Gas and Energy Sector by Rajeev Jayaswal.
